Flight Instructor

Kawartha Lakes Flight Centre currently has an opening for a Flight Instructor.

The applicant for the "Flight Instructor" is reponsible for training our student customers to Transport Canada standards.

Qualifications

1. Valid Commercial Pilot licence or better;
2. Valid Category I Medical Certificate;
3. Valid Class IV or better Instructor Rating. Candidates without an instructor rating can complete training at KLFC and then recieve a job offer;

Duties

1. Train Clients;
2. Perform check rides;
3. Complete Sight Seeing flights;
4. Update Journey Logs and the Maintenance Tracking System with times from the Daily Flight Record;
5. Provide required pre-flight and post-flight briefings;
6. Complete student Pilot Training Records;
7. Process customer invoices.

Kawartha Lakes Flight Centre is a safety aware company. All employees are required to read our Safety Management System manual and our Maintenance Control Manual and sign that they have read these and will abide by the policies within.

Our typical winter hours are 09:00 to 17:00 (5pm) 7 days a week. We close Christmas and New Year's day. On bad weather days we've been known to close early. During the summer we open longer and can often be reached well after 17:00 on good flying days. Rentals can be arranged outside business hours.
